Flowers and seasons

Among the 144 tiles are 8 special ones: 4 flowers and 4 seasons. There is only one of each.

Set aside at once

Flowers and seasons are never part of your hand. They cannot be used in a set or a pair.

As soon as you get a flower or season, whether in the deal or when drawing from the wall, place it in front of you where everyone can see it. Then draw one replacement tile from the back end of the wall. If that replacement is another flower or season, set it aside too and draw again.

That way your hand always keeps the right number of tiles.

What they are worth

In the Lounge Simple rules, every flower or season you collect is worth +1 point when you win. Have three? Add 3 points.
